Registration |
|
|
Registration starts two days before
the beginning of the lectures of
each semester. Each student should
contact his tutor during the
mentioned period to discuss with him
the subjects which the student is
going to take during the semester.
The student should discuss with his
tutor his future according to the
results obtained in previous
semesters and in accordance with his
situation and time. This will help
the student to choose the most
suitable program of study. |

Registration Procedures |
|
|
1. Registration should be made on a
special form, a copy of which will
be given to the student, the
registrar and the tutor.
2. After filling in the form, the
student takes it back to the
registration office after it is
signed by him and his tutor.
3. Registration forms will be
ratified if they are in accordance
with faculty regulation system. |

|
Late Registration |
|
|
Students are not allowed to register
after 15 days of the time of the
start of the semester. Students who
did not register on time should hand
a petition to the registrar in which
he mentions the reasons behind his
late registration. The dean of the
faculty will decide to accept or
refuse the petition. If he refuses
the student is not allowed to
register. |

|
The Minimum and Maximum number of
Subjects for Each Semester |
|
|
The credit hours should be no less
than 36 for each semester. If the
student is a repeater or has a
warning, the minimum number is 27.
|
|
|
Addition |
|
|
Registration ends within the
allocated two days, but If the
students feels that he can add other
subjects during the semester he
should consult his tutor. If his
tutor agrees, the student will fill
in a new form called a registration
amendment. He should finish the
procedures within 15 days from the
beginning of the semester. |

|
Elimination |
|
|
If the student feels that he should
reduce the registered number of
credit hours, he should have his
tutor's permission to eliminate some
subjects. The student can do so
within 30 days of registration. |
|
|
Transfer
|
|
|
It is permissible to accept students
who transfer from other faculties of
engineering at other approved Libyan
universities according to the
following conditions:
1. The
student should have GCSE (or
equivalent) in science section
2. He
should pass the previous semester in
his university.
3. He
should abide by the program set by
his tutor. |
