The Faculty of Economics was
established in 1957 with a very
limited number of students
(approximately 48 students) as well
as a small number of staff members
(10). The number of students in the
first graduating class was 29 in the
academic year 1961. The Faculty of
Economics has developed its
curriculum since its establishment.
Thus, many subjects were added in
Economics, Accounting, Statistics
and Political Science. The current
number of students is now 8,852. |

Faculty of Economics awards the
following degrees: (1) the BSc, the
Bachelor of Science; (2) the MA,
